Overview
The AOG is committed to protecting individual privacy and safeguarding information entrusted to our care, in keeping with our mission. The AOG mission, in part,
is to keep graduates connected with each other and with the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA). In support of its mission, the AOG collects and maintains
data on USAFA and the Graduate community, including graduates, members, donors and friends through public records, research, and from data provided by the individual.
Any information collected will be handled carefully and confidentially in accordance with AOG standards and policies. The AOG does not sell or rent lists nor will it
reveal any personal information to any third party outside the conduct of routine AOG programs and services as approved by the AOG Senior Staff. Individuals may request
restrictions be placed on their records to prevent release of certain elements of personal information. If constituents have questions about this privacy statement,
the practices of the AOG, or dealings with the AOG, our Customer Service department can reached by email customerservice@usafa.org, by
calling (719) 472-0300, or by writing to:

Our Commitment to Constituent Privacy
As a leader and innovator in the way graduates relate to the AOG and USAFA, we value the trust placed in us and will work hard to earn constituent's confidence
in knowing the AOG respects their privacy and will do everything possible to protect their personal information. The AOG maintains a membership database with the
e-mail address, name and postal address, telephone number and other personally identifiable information of cadets, graduates, non-graduate alumni, parents and
other self-identified friends of the AOG and the Academy.
Individuals may make written request to review the data and make corrections in their record. The constituent has the right to request that certain personal data
elements are removed from the file. "Public" information (such as name and class year) or AOG-created data (such as gift history or membership history) will not
be removed. Individuals may place restrictions on the use and dissemination of their Personally Identifiable Information and may request that contact information
be removed from their record. Individuals will be advised as to how such removal will affect the delivery of member benefits. Individuals may modify which
communications they receive from the AOG on the AOG website. The constituent can personally control what is viewed or hidden on the website.
The AOG respects the privacy concerns of individuals. The AOG does not disclose private information entrusted to it by donors, volunteers, and staff. This
information includes, but is not limited to trust documents, wills, and personnel records. Donor and prospective donor information are not "public records"
under the Colorado Open Records Act. Information not available for public inspection or release includes the alumni donor database, donor and prospective donor
information, and planning documents on fund-raising strategies and other competitively sensitive information. The AOG protects the privacy of legal documents,
personnel information (beyond that disclosed on IRS Form 990), internal management documents and other items deemed to be private by the AOG's Board of Directors
unless otherwise allowed under the Colorado Open Records Act.
Our Commitment to Data Security
The AOG regards Data security with the utmost respect. We strive to keep our systems up to date and secured against vulnerabilities. We maintain PCI compliance
and have our systems regularly evaluated for security. We resolve to do business with PCI compliant companies and third parties. Additionally, the AOG does not
store or retain cardholder data on premises. Any cardholder data is secured and stored with PCI compliant card processors.
Third Party Release Policy
The AOG will not sell or rent to any third party any personal information, except to the extent necessary to comply with applicable laws, police investigations
or in legal proceedings where such information is relevant. The AOG allows access to database information by third parties providing AOG-approved services. In
those instances, the member or third party is bound by these terms and has agreed to hold this information in confidence.
Colorado Revised Statute Requirements
In accordance with Colorado Revised Statutes § 7-136-101 and § 7-136-102, any member of at least three months of a nonprofit "membership" corporation may request
and must be provided a list of names and addresses of all members. The request must be made in good faith and for a "proper purpose" and the requestor must agree
to use the information solely for the purpose for which requested.
At this time, elections of the Association of Graduates and bylaws issues are deemed to be a proper purpose.
Colorado law requires the release of these addresses regardless of restrictions that the member may have placed on them, that the requestor honors the wishes of
members who wish to receive no email, no USPS solicitations or have otherwise placed restrictions on the use of their addresses. (Note: These restrictions will
be annotated on the roster.)
